Hi, I’m Sofia!
Born in Angola but raised in Porto from the age of two, I’ve always had a bit of a gypsy soul. I studied Hotel Management in Estoril, then spent a year in New York in 2000 to study and work. After returning to Porto, I worked in the hotel industry for over 6 years, first in the F&B department and later as a Groups Coordinator. For the past 10 years, I’ve been an Airbnb manager, hosting guests and making sure they have the best stay possible.
But deep down, I’ve always dreamed of more—of living abroad with my husband, exploring new cities, and soaking up different cultures while working at our own pace. I wanted to be present for our two amazing teenage kids as they find their own way, while also building a future that feels free and full of possibility.
So when I came across this new business opportunity, I knew it was my chance to chase that dream. Stepping out of my comfort zone wasn’t easy, but I knew that if I didn’t go for it, I’d always wonder, "What if?"
